Program Note:

SR2W2TE2ITMI2-WBAIHI (2023) is my first experimentation with electronic processing to create music. I took a piano suite which I was working on for my junior recital, and fed it through the free plugin “Deelay” by Sixth Sample. In doing this, and tweaking the settings, I discovered that the sound of the piano could sometimes be preserved quite well and sometimes be hidden. On the fifth track, 05 - L0K3J5H7G2​!​F4D6​@​S8A9Q1, I manipulated the delay times and the dry/wet balance to create a more “musical” scape which actually changes over the course of the piece. So, while the first four tracks are essentially just soundscapes of the source (the piano), the fifth track goes just a step further.
